General description

Beijing Forestry University (BFU) is one of the leading national key Universities directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education. BFU has developed itself from a specialized college in forestry to a multi-disciplinary university with leading positions among its counterparts in such disciplines as forestry, soil and water conservation, eco-environmental engineering, landscape architecture, biology, materials science and engineering, etc. The School of Environmental Science and Engineering has high reputation in research and educations, particularly in the fields of biological technologies for waste treatment, environmental functional nanomaterials, and the resource and reuse of agriculture and forestry residues.

 

Role of key people

Professor Qiang Wang is leading a research group of 27 people with great research interests in functional materials and CO2 capture and utilization. He has worked on CO2 capture materials for more than 10 years, and have started electro-catalytic reduction of CO2 into value-added chemicals for 4 years. This lab has very successful collaborative experience with leading research groups from UK, France, Cyprus, Spain, South Korea, USA, and Mexico, etc. He is the section editor of Journal of Energy Chemistry and the editorial board member of Catalysts.
